KYC implements project based activities in the community and in schools in partnership with the local council and other organisations such as Banks, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Health Centres to carry out specific activities such as financial literacy and business skills trainings, Community reading tents, Sexual Reproductive Health talks, HIV/ AIDS Voluntary Counselling & Testing (VCT), Blood donation activities, Cancer screening, blood donation among others.
The Outreach program also focuses on enhancing the children and youth potentials to discover and/ or improve their abilities through games, sports, crafts and music dance and drama activities.
Sports activities such as badminton, net ball are organised during the holiday season. Other recreation activities for youth & children include computer games and board games like chess, draft and scrabble.
Theme day activities; KYC organises activities on such day like International Youth Day, World AIDS Day, Women’s Day, World Book day, Literacy day in which the children, youth and community are mobilised and encouraged to participate.
